Saudi Ministry of Media and “Konoz” Initiative Win Sharjah Government Communication Award for The Destination
The Saudi Ministry of Media, through its “Konoz” initiative, has received the prestigious Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) in the category of Best Communication and Media Content, for the documentary film “The Destination”, produced by AWJ Studios, one of the leading regional companies specializing in sustainable content production.
A Leading International Platform
The award was announced during the closing ceremony of the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2025), held at Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life”. This year’s edition of the SGCA attracted more than 2,600 entries from 37 countries, with around 170 projects making it to the final evaluation stage.
Sustainable Production and Intelligent Storytelling
The winning film, “The Destination”, reflects the philosophy of AWJ Studios, which focuses on building long-term, sustainable content designed to move beyond short-term messaging to create lasting cultural and social impact.
AWJ’s creative team developed the film with a sophisticated narrative approach, combining smart visual language with a sustainable production vision, setting a benchmark for how government-related content can embody national identity while addressing global audiences.

Launched in 2012, the Sharjah Government Communication Award is an initiative of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau that seeks to foster competitiveness and innovation in government communication, while recognizing initiatives that deliver measurable impact across communities and sectors. Today, it is regarded as one of the most prominent awards in the Arab world, celebrating excellence in public sector communication.
